If you have seen this hashtag in one of our emails, the sender of the email invites you to use the first name. You decide whether you also prefer this or prefer to be addressed by surname and as "Sie" in German.
In our company, it is customary to use the first name ("Du" in German), regardless of the position the person has in the company. Sometimes we get the impression that our customers and partners would also prefer the "Du". But nobody really knows how to do it properly. Who can offer the "Du" to whom?
That's why we like to take the first step. We see it as an offer to our counterpart and leave the decision up to you. For us, the "Du" has the same value as a formal "Sie": respectful and friendly interaction at eye level. We are happy to receive the "Du", but we can also live with the "Sie". We respect both and leave the choice up to you.
